Located
on a 30 acre farm in West Michigan, User Friendly
Miniatures is dedicated to raising correct
minis that can be handled by ANYONE.
While looking for minis for our autistic
sons, we came across many horses that
refused to be caught, avoided attention and
freaked out over any little thing. Our
kids needed horses that were easy going,
understanding and WANTED to be handled.
Horses that didn't get upset when our
children threw their arms in the air or made
loud noises. Horses that walked along on a
limp rope held by a squirrelly 6 year
old. We were lucky enough to find a few
horses like that and it was clear that we
would be raising our foals with these goals
in mind.
We raise our horses with love and they are
handled by people with disabilities. They
are exposed to many different situations and
get loads of interaction with children and
visitors.
It's not uncommon to see our horses in the
house, in the bathtub washing up or playing
in a fenced in yard with our kids. They go
to school, ride in the van and even hang out
under the canopy while our oldest son reads
to them. They love to do these things and
seek these interactions out. Yet, they are
very much HORSES.
Our horses boast great bloodlines including
National Champions. Add that to our focus,
you've got a wonderful horse no matter what
direction your mini dreams take you.
Take a journey into our pastures and be
surrounded by horses looking for your
attention!!
